JANICE COLES
is pleased to return to perform with the Melos Choral Ensemble. In
past years she has been heard as a soloist in Bach's Ascension Oratorio
and B minor Mass, Mozart's Dominica Vespers, the Duruflé Requiem,
the Mozart Requiem and two performances of Handel's Messiah. As a recitalist, Janice
is known for her innovative programming, and has appeared at St. George's
Cathedral, for First Night/Cool Night, The Gallery Café, Music on the
Rideau, Music West, and the Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Notable recent
performances include Messiah and Bach's Cantata 64 with the Kingston
Symphony, a recital at St. George's with Tafelmusik principal horn player
Derek Conrod and pianist Michel Szczesniak, and a Music West recital
with soprano Rhona Gale and pianist Fran Harkness. Janice was also
honoured to perform three of David Cameron's songs last November in
the concert celebrating David's 40th anniversary as Music Director of
Chalmers.
